At a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping how we create, communicate and make sense of the world, the workshop asks what human capacities such as listening, perception and intuition can contribute to this changing relationship between humans and technology. In form of a completely practice-oriented, liminal setting the award-winning futurist, musician and composer Ulrich Drechsler harnesses sound and the ability of deep listening to collectively transform the medium of mutual exchange, and to make the different worlds, disciplines and sectors from which we come more perceptible to one another. In ’The Room of Unformed Ideas’, we develop prototypes interactively for a new culture of listening, understanding, learning from one another, as well as communicating and interacting.

Ulrich lives and works in several different worlds, moving effortlessly between them. An internationally successful musician and composer, as well as a visionary systems strategist and designer, whose conviction is rooted in the need to fundamentally renew systemic structures in many areas of our lives. In his work, he combines the transformative potential of the ‘systems’ of music and art with holistic, non-linear models of strategic thinking and interacting, to develop new, transdisciplinary interfaces.
