AI on Our Terms: Artists and Creatives Respond

Zpět do kalendáře

From Lived Experience to Policy Recommendations

‍

The workshop shifts the conversation around AI and creative work by asking not how artists and creatives should adapt to technologies developed elsewhere, but what AI should look like if creative practitioners themselves were in the driving seat.

‍

It is addressed to people working creatively with images, sound and narratives - including, for example, visual artists, illustrators, designers, writers, filmmakers, musicians, game developers and other creative practitioners whose work is being affected by AI.

‍

Representatives of various creative fields will examine the fears, hopes and real-world experiences - positive and negative - specific to their practices. From these, they will formulate the needs, principles and conditions that should guide the development and use of AI in the cultural and creative sectors. In a final step, participants will identify shared priorities for AI developers, policymakers and other stakeholders and formulate an initial action agenda.

‍

The results will feed into a broader pan-European research process and the development of policy and technology recommendations intended to strengthen the agency of artists and creatives in shaping the future of AI.
